Default opinions

Good morning, new to the forum in posting, reading for some time now. I looked at a 94 C4 yesterday, it has 45,000 orig miles, the door panels seem to be missing a clip or two and the weather stripping at the bottom side of the rear window is coming away from the body. I have gotten the price down to 13,000 from 14,500. He just put new tires and brakes a little wear on the driver bolster but very tight all around. Any opinions?

Thanks

that sounds like a pretty good deal to me...a few hundred in weatherstripping and clips for the door, and you will be good to go...i also have some wear on the driver bolster, no getting around that happening without seat covers i guess...

Sounds like a fair price for an LT1....ask whether he has ever replaced his opti-spark.

The door panels could be a problem. Sometimes the door panel will seperate from the top of the clip holding it on the door. Several guys on here have fixed it themselves and there is an article in either Vette or Corvette Fever about repairing it.

The rear weatherstripping seems to always be loose on C4's....you can either replace it or if it is split at the seam in the corner you could use GOOP (its a tennis shoe repair glue) on it. I did this on mine and it has held for a year so far.
