Help - 89' Diag. Codes
This might should have been OT, but I am in a pinch. I have an 89' GMC pickup truck this is not running well. I cannot find my shop manual but I was able to desyphire the diag. code. The fault code is "4-2". I believe that all of GM used the same format that year. Can someone tell me what that failure code is for, or direct me to a site were I can get it?

Electronic Spark Timing, book says look for trouble anywhere from hei module in distributor thru 4 conductor wire exiting distributor to cpu.
