I am considering buying a dash mat from Ecklers, or my wife said she would buy me one for fathers day. I had in mind the wolf with corvette logo on it. Just wanted some advice on dash mats. Where I work it get really hot inside the car and was thinking of having the dash mat for protection agianst sun damage on the dash.
I use a dash mat on my 84' vette....black with gold emblem.....

I had one in the'86 I used to have. I received it as a gift but I'm pretty sure it came from Mid America Designs. The only thing I can say is the glare off it was horrible.

I would like to get that same one but, the wife is paying for this one and she wouldn't go for 89.00. I might ask for that one and split the difference. I would like to join the black squadron but my vette is dark blue, looks alot like black though. Do you think I would pass. :seeya
I bought my grey dash mat from Wal-Mart, only cost $28, No emblem though but, the interior has so many emblems anyway who really needs another. If you insist on having and emblem, I would suggest going to Checker. They offer the emblems without having to pay $90 for it.
After taking delivery of my '88 in Mesa, AZ in the summer of '00 it wasn't long (only had to burn my hand once) before I got a dash mat from Thorobred Chevy.
It is low density short nap finish which does not get hot even in 115+ deg weather; it cost like $30.
