84 headlight problem!!!!!
My LH light will not rotate, the light comes on, but no rotation. I ordered a actuator relay, but cannot locate the relay anywhere, I followed the wires to a module where both actuators plug in, located in RH side forward of the wheel well, when I unplug the connector the lights will not rotate, but Rh will rotate when plugged in, any ideas?? thanks :confused:

I had this same problem....open the hood...look by the light on the side you will see a little ****....what I did was turn it....headlight opened.....now it works all the time on my '84..
Don't know it this will work you but worth a try......

Sounds like it's time for a headlamp motor rebuild. The gear might be stripped. Also, there is some kind of gunk in that motor that somehow works with the gear to turn it. I guess that stuff eventually liquifies, and causes the motor to fail. I've never had a complete failure with mine, but the right headlight is starting to sometimes get persnickity about coming up with the left one. I'ts like the right side has a mind of it's own, and takes it's time getting up, so the time is getting close for me too.
