Default Aftermarket Shift *****

Anyone using a shift **** other than the Flameball? I was thinking of getting a MOMO but everyone I liked seemed quite tall. Like you would be smashing your knuckles into the radio on the 1,3,5 shifts. Any pics would be appreciated.

Here is my Momo. They are tall. On the stock shifter I did hit the radio every now and then. With the Hurst it is no longer an issue.

Tall = :nono:

Even stock is too tall for me. So I have a stubby B&M. Also looking for an alternative to the stock shift ****, the leather seam hurts my tender palm :nopity

A Hurst is just a shorter stick to produce the shorter throws. So if you put taller **** on it doesn't that defeat the purpose? :skep:

I purchased a Momo for my Hurst. It took back everything the Hurst gave me so I went back to the stock ****. Can't imagine a Momo on the stock shifter, it's got to be like a freaking Mac truck.

I've got an MBA billet **** in the IROC and another one in the GTA. They are fantastic *****, and sit very low on the shaft. They do get hot as hell in the summer though. I keep a glove over it when the car is outside. :)

$50 isn't a lot of money for a good ****. Price a Momo or a Sparco **** some time. Other than the Pep Boys junk, you're not going to do much better than $50.

Oh I agree, but when MBA only charges ~$30 for an F-body ****, that really ticks me off.

Got a Callaway ****, looks good and the fit in the palm of your hand is very good and comfortable.

The only down side is it is anodized alum..... so in the wintertime, it's colder than a witches titty, and in the summer, hotter that the depths of hell.

I paid $45 or $50 for each of my f-body *****. What the hell ones are you looking at?

Ok, I just went to MBA's website. The f-body ***** are $42 each. The C5 **** is $58. Considering that it's application specific, unlike the f-body *****, I don't think that's terribly out of line.

I bought a plain aluminum F-body **** as a gift a while back, and it was cheap. $25 or $30 (now $32, and $42 for engraved). IMHO it doesn't seem justified to nearly double the price for the Vette ($58). I'm just looking at it from the customer perspective. If it were $30-40 I would have one by now. But hey, it's their loss. Just my .02
