Air Con Problem
Hi, I am new to this forum having just purchased a 1990 yellow vette and am in the UK. I have a problem with the air con, when driving at a constant speed the a/c cools ok but as soon as I accelerate or decelerate, it blows hot for a while before cooling down again. I have checked the fault codes and 00 no faults. The coolant has been recharged. Any ideas. :confused:

Hello Mate I have spent some time in your country in suffolk (Ipswich) I could murder a pint of toby! When you hit the gas the air shuts off to give you more power but that doesn't explain the the slowing down :cheers:

I have a 92, and the factory service manual talks about the Automatic AC as having multiple input from various sources, that effect when the compressor may cut in and out under certain "load" conditions. I would think that this could happen at aggressive throttle application, but if it occurs more often, and under "normal" conditions, maybe some module is out of whack. Just an educated guess.
