now he runs a small used car lot and he said he just needs to sale a car. he told me 10k and i could put 5500 down and pay 200 amonth no interest each month. what do you guys think???? i'll try and get pictures as soon as possible. he said its basically perfect interior, i tried to not act too happy when he told me about the car didn't wanta let him know how much i wanted one. :D thats mainly why i didn't ask too detailed of questions. :D
Come on what do you really think is right??????
My '84 was an emotinal buy.....if I would have thought about it longer and smarter....I would have waited for .....like a '90's vette....stupid me....
You think hard....before you leap.......
After all you don't need problems....just a smoooooth vette....RIGHT????

$5500 down  that is about all that car is worth with a wrecked title. I wouldn't pay a dime more for it. Keep looking there are much better deals out there. :yesnod:
I almost bought an 88 with 40K miles until I found out it had a salvage title, mind you, this car drove and handled HOT!, the guy that put it back together was a pro, and he intended on keeping it forever. All new parts and did'nt look like major damage, but here in MI. they actually have an orange title for salvage. I ended up buying a clean title 88, but it was not as nice as this salvage vette. Any commments on this ?
Buying a car with a salvage title can open a huge can of worms, I never did it, but I know people who have. I would pass unless he dropped TeH price by a huge amount.

The ONLY reason to ever end up with a salvage title is because you get into the car a lot cheaper.........
well i saw the car today i can't tell anything was ever wrong with it, even the paint is perfect it doesn't need a paint job! but i decided it is too high, and no there is not that many deals on cars worth crap for under 6k in my area. i've been looking for the last three months i think i should know. i'm about to look for something else. thanks for your guys input though. :flag
would sound like a square deal if not for the wreck title part.try a carfax on it.
get the vin # and post it here for us to pick apart for you.
digicam pic of the code #s be cool too.
these guys could tell you much uch more about it with that info posted.
10k seems to be a tough range for vettes.that model seems to be more like a 6k car, maybe seven with new paint and the pace car option.
good luck
Let the guy fix his own junk, keep looking.I spent the better part of the last 2 months looking. The first vette $200 for shiping and $100 on inspection.I'v looked in papers,mags,E-bay,internet maby 200+. Found ONE friday. The first one, was JUNK.Spend $100 if it save's you 15 thousand.
