Default Bras

I'm sure everyone has seen the new type bras that some C5's are sporting....I guess the best way I can put it is they look like pantyhose or something stretched across the front of the car......

Question is, does anyone know the name of the company that manufactures them and if they make one for a C4?

thanks! :steering:

Yes, can you tell me a little bit about it...who makes it, how it fastens, and what color?

Just saw your post on the For Sale Forum ref this bra. Not sure you understand the kind I"m talking about....I'm not talking about one made out of vinyl, etc., that's been around for years, but a new product on the market that is actually made out of cloth..

It's black, I think most are. It apears to be in very good condition. I've never put it on the car, it came (in the storage area) of the '84. It's missing one elastic strap, but that would be an easy fix. Have you priced them yet? I haven't so I don't know what to ask for?? Sorry, this just sorta came up. I cleaned out a room yesterday and found it.

Are you talking about the ones that are colormatched to the car?

Yes, but not Speed Lingerie....these are made out of cloth and expand and stretch to cover the front portions of C5's ...have them in the latest MAD catalog.....just wondering if they made one for a C4...seems like a great thing to just stretch over the nose until you get where you're going, pull it off and stick it in it's little bag...

Do they keep your front end from sagging as your car gets older? :lolg: Actually I am thinking of getting one for mine for road trips.

Me too :yesnod: They look crappy on Vettes IMO but if it protects the front on road trips I can stand it.

I know the one you're talking about. My father has one on his Z06. It may not necessarily protect against a really hard rock chip since they are soft and thin. More protection against bugs than anything. I don't know the name of it. I'd have to ask him, but as far as I know, they don't make them for the C4.

I have friends with a Millenium Yellow Y2K Vette who have this bra plus the matching mirror covers. It's kind of like spandex. Knocks down the bugs very well, but it's actually rubbing on the paint in a few places. Just doesn't snug down very tight at speed.

After reading a bunch of related posts on the forum, I bought the GM vinyl bra. Took the vette on a 16 hour road trip to/from Bloomington Gold last weekend with the bra on and the front bumper looks good as new.

That's my 2 cents.
