Default Sagging headliner - Help plzzz

So my headliner is loose, and I figured I would just undo the assembly that keeps it in there and reglue it, as it is in good condition. Problem is, I can;t figure out how to take the top apart. The only visible screws are for the weatherstripping, so I took out the 4 buttons from the corners, expecting to find bolts or screws. Instead, I found these plastic round things that I can't figure out what to do with. Do they unscrew, pop out, or what?

Any help, as always, is appreciated.

hhhmm, Do the painted tops have head liners? I've got a "glass" top and I don't get what you're talking about.

Painted tops have headliners...

Mines sagging just a little bit... but fairly soon, I'll probably try to do something with it.

I was thinking that it wasn't held up with screws or fasteners, but was rather glued in place. (Bear in mind, I haven't even taken the time to look at it... thats just mym assumption) The headliner is really just a piece of fabric stretched over a piece of foam backing. The foam backing, I thought, was then glued to the top. I figured you just had to pull it down.

Recovering could be difficult if parts of the headliner are still glued on and other parts aren't. It could wreck havok on the backer foam when you take it off and try to reglue it. (By the way, I've never had much luck with 3m's spray adhesive on an old headliner... only on new, fresh foam and fabric.

I'm not sure where you can get fabric in different colors. I know Ecklers sells a replacement headliner for the fiberglass tops. I think it's just under $150. Basically, it's the foam, covered in fabric. You just pull down the old one, adn glue the new one up. Only downside is that you can only get it in black.

My headliner is dark bronze, and I'd really like to find fabric to match the original and keep everything looking factory if I can. Even if that means custom cutting and fitting my own foam backer... (done that before in other cars I've had  )

Anyway, thats my $.02 I'd be interested to hear what otehr have to say about this.
