1996 rear window buttons

The buttons that attach the rear window to the lock and struts fade and turn white in the sun. can anyone tell me how to prevent this?

Ditto. I am also curious about the little foam looking donuts on the gas struts in the in side out by the window. Mine a lightened quite a bit. I used amor all and similar - works for a bit and then fades back quickly.

Have you tried "Back to Black"? Sorry don't remember who makes it.

Bought something like "forever black" from corvette central. Put it on a couple of years ago. Still looks good Took about 3 or 4 coats as I recall.

Thanks for the info. The wife and I are heading to Orlando tomorrow in the Vette. I will try to find the product when we get back from vacation :steering:

I use those buttons as a "Zaino-meter." I Zaino the buttons at the same time I do the rest of the car (turns it dark grey, not black). When the buttons start to turn white again, I know it's time to re-Zaino the car.
