It was bound to happen, planted my foot on the L98 in low, and a 10 ft. smokin launch appeared, oops, neighbors got POS'd. Kids were smokin the Mustang Cobra's and I couldn't resist. What's the best damage control? beer? reccommend the corvetrte forum? I'm now branded the neighborhood hot rod freak. How do you cotrol this?
How about a lot of apologizing and a good excuse...you could tell them you "accidentially" selected the wrong gear...or maybe your foot slipped as you were looking for something?
You'll probably hear a lot of that "don't crap in your own back yard" stuff, meaning you shouldn't have done that in your own neighborhood in the first place :nono: :smash:
I'd say clean up the mess as best you can and get back in good with the 'hood
1) DON'T SCARE US LIKE THAT. I thought your car burned, not that you did a burn out.
2) Who cares what your neighbors think. There was a thread here not to long ago about "speeding" as it pertains to vettes. I can't remember who started it but im gona search for it and post it.
