Tire Sizing Help
Hi, I have tried to locate and ask this in various other threads, but I can't seem to get a definitive answer.
I have a 1995 Convertible and have just ordered the ZR1 A-Mold Wheels in 17x9.5" size for all around.
What size tires can I go to?
Is it safe or recommended to use 275/40/17 in the front without any rubbing etc?
Please I would love to hear from poeple who have done this, and what you are using. :D

Yes, you can use the 275 size, or you can even go up to a 285 tire all around. There is plenty of room.
Edit for a really bad typo

Re: Tire Sizing Help (Jeffvette)
I think Jeffvette meant you can use a 275 all the way around and a 285 also.

I'm going 285 all around, got to get a set of 9.5's for the front first. Can't convince myself to go with 17x11 on the back yet....in time maybe.....good luck...

As soon as I finish wearing down the wife about ordering the 11" ZR1s for the back, I will let you see how they look on mine!

i have 285 on all 4 corners and have no rubbing whatsoever, there are even some people on here running 315s on all 4 corners (but they use them mainly for auto-X) :D

Thanks alot guys.
I was thinking about getting the 11's myself for the rear, but I dont want the tires to still out from the wheel wells. :nono:
I guess for now maybe I'll try the 285/40's all around.
