preparation for benchmark
my 84 has 104k miles and i have only replaced the air pump which seized up at 90k. took 12 inches of rubber off the belt and twisted the shaft in two ,while i was on I-94 tooling along about 85. sure took some time to get hauled in. lol the car is inperfect shape, even still running the original brake pads. going for survivor in 04. sure would like to talk to someone who has gone for benchmark. drop me a line and maybe we can talk on the phone or yahoo. thanks

I've done some work with the NCRS on the C4 books, what kind of info do you need. My yahoo im is lt5zr180. Im not on it much, I mainly use aim. But let me know what you need and maybe I can help

i would appreciate anything you can give me that will help me prepare my car. i'm wondering if a survivor that has not been restored can get to the benchmark. i looked at the cars that were going for it and it seemed they were all restored rather than cared for. mine was driven but taken care of, looks really great and has no "other" parts on it except exhaust extensions to match the curve of the body cut-outs. even running the original brake pads (104k) good stuff. any articles or experiences would be appreciated. thanks
