Front Shock Absorber
I heard a really bad banging sound and traced it down to the right front shock absorber. It had come loose and gotten wedged between the shock bracket and the upper a-arm. My question is this- the left front shock is a standard style with a lock nut holding the top of the shock rod to the upper bracket. The right shock has no threads (they have not been worn off) it's just smooth and goes through a gromment. It looks like it uses a c-clip to hold it on. Is this a new kind of shock and if so where could I buy a new gromment and clip as the shock still looks good. Thanks for any help!
