Targa top
Does anyone know anything about this company. Tompson Astro Tops. http://www.astrotops.com? They show new targa tops with exchange going for $449.00. Has a four year warrenty on them. Used tops go for more than that. It sounds lika one heck of a deal if they are good tops.

I bought one and the front connects to the car with a crappy little plastic piece well two of them.Then they break all of the time very easily and were talking just a slight tweak and pop their done. I have to order those plastic pieces almost every two mondays it seems like.The only reason I bought one was because on the way home from buying my 85 I was speeding and then the top came off the frame and flew out on the highway so i was pissed and wanted a one piece top. I regret buying one ...stay away.I have the frame to my original (minus the acrylic of course)can I go somewhere to have them put a acrylic top back on ??Looks like epoxy or something holds those tops on to the frame..I almost forgot the astro tops never line up well.If you want pictures of what i am talking about i can send you pictures.

Ok guys got the message on the bad top guys. How about this company.
Harkema MotorSports They sell Targa tops at a fair price also. Maybe I should stop fishing and buy a $$$$$$$ one.

I bought my replacement top off of ebay. I had an acrylic top and the adhesive that holds the acrylic to the frame failed. I replaced it with a fiberglass top and never looked back. Expect to pay around $350 with shipping, at least that's about what I paid. :cheers:

They are runing an auction on EBay. the auction number is Item number: 2423187078 The top look good but from the fourms feed back it might be a good idea to stay away form them. For the price they want for the tops I wish they good I would buy one. I found them on Ebay under Corvette Glass in the motor section
