Couple pics that a friend took for me yesterday...Enjoy
I am so happy with the car, two of my friends just bought c5's one a 00 FRC and the other a 02 Z06. I was afriad that the Grand Sport would not beable to compete with the newer C5's, however we attended an all Corvette AutoX this weekend where I managed to beet both of them (all on street tires) an win my class by almost two seconds over a national champ on Victor Racers.
I was approched by the man who scored Fastest Time of the Day (Z06 CCWs and Hoosiers) He has been in AutoXing for 10 years and said that I have a real natural talent, and had great car control. As if my head wasn't growing fast enough he told me that if I mounted up hoosiers I would be a National Champion with out a doubt in his mind. He seemed more exicted than I was!
This came as a shock to me I have been to about 5 autoX's and had never lost but I really didn't know what my compition was (usually only 1-2 cars enter in A-Stock) until this weekend. Maybe I should look into expanding on my "skill" that people have noticed.
I have lowered the car useing the Mid America kit, I choped both the upper and lower side bushing on the front spring and used the bolts in the back to give in a small grate when sitting but it levels out when I'm driving

Wait a sec, you lowered your car by changing the springs and then competed and won a stock class  I mean it's cool you won  but in my region you can't change spring in AS. I have to run in BSP partly because my springs were changed to softer ones (I'm not trying to compete much... )
Cool pics and victory over your friends  , but I'm a little confused

I didn't change any springs I don't know where you picked that up, its the stock 96' Z51 springs. All I did was lower the car which requires cutting of the bushings on the front spring. Not any differnt from all these SS C5's that slam thier cars and dial in loads of camber while still competeing in SuperStock. Hope you understand better now.
