ok....i dunno whats going on here...my idle is down by about 60 RPM...conditions are the same...a/c off...i noticed that because of the lower rpm's, i am shifting at speeds 5 MPH faster than before. i have done a few things to the car this weekend...but i don't think any of it would affect the engine...added clutch fluid...i fixed the power antenna, so i had to disconnect the battery...does the computer have to "relearn" the best fuel/air mixes for best gas economy? i also filled up with chevron gas on tuesday...is it possible i got some bad fuel? anyone had this experience before? the engine is a L98 TPI. 4+3 tranny. 60K miles....this wosn't something that slowly developed...just BAM....kinda driving me crazy...worries me a lil :(
It seems when I disconnect the battery on mine, all the values change. My overdrive quit working the last time. It wears me out. I trust that you do know if you turn that screw to change the idle speed, you have to reset the TPS sensor. It's a chain reaction. :banghead:
