I saw a White C-4 Corvette the other day that had a peice of Fiberglass running down the rear hatch window. It mad it look like a split window. It curved out at the top and bottom and blended in nicely. I want one of these, but cant seem to find one...anyone seen or heard of one?
Also, and this is a long shot, anyone know where I can find tail lights for my other car...a 1967 Ford Thunderbird? I got rear ended by a kid in a Taurus...
I knowm I know, I said the F-Word. But that car has bailed me out a good many of times, when the vette was having its faulty alternators replaced.
Right now im on my 9th alternator in 10 months.! :auto: :chevy
I went through about 3 "lifetime" alternators in less than half a year. My current one has lasted over a year I think. Don't worry you'll get lucky and finally get a good one.
I don't know where you can get it, but you can always have a vinyl decal cut to the right size to achieve the same look and it will probably be very inexpensive :yesnod:
I thought about doing that also...I've never seen it on a car though. Snap a pic if you can and post it. I'd really like to see what it looks like. My alt also just died I'm replacing it with a 140 amp CS-144 (supposedly these will actually last forever) we'll see...
Well, i went through my little stack of Magazines (2 feet high) looking for that issue. But no luck. It was in VETTE Magazine, about 6-7 months ago. If you subscribe, look through your issues for it. It was a in depth story of a White C4.
I know exactly what your talking about. Vette issue for April 2003. Its a white C4 with all kinds of things done to it...Warship is the name of the car and I'm pretty sure he is a forum member by the name Warship...Hope this helps

Go to "Search" and enter "1985 split window coupe". Be sure to enable
"search archive". You'll see a split C4 and a custom C5 split. I too have been looking for this for a friend with no luck. The article on "Warship" said the split window kit was available from Royer Automotive Engineering. No one has ever heard of it. If you find out, let me know.

It did for me. I hit search at the left here < and entered "1985 split window coupe" in the first box and changed from recent topic to archived topics. Also "post bodies", wait a little while, then click on first topic. Try again. I did and it worked.
Sorry guys, if I knew how to do the picture thing, I woulda. Glad you found it.
Like I said, Royer Automotive Engineering. Whoever they are. I emailed VETTE magazine but never heard. :skep:
