how would this look?
what do you guys think of me putting a black grand sport stripe down the hood and rear deck of my pewter '85.
would it be cool looking or would it be kinda like wearing a fake rolex?

About the stripe on the peuter... It would prbably look pretty good. but maybe it would look better a different color? Like a darker, almost black, pewter?

the car doesn't suit some of our needs anymore, however i really can't see myself not owning one.
i would prefer a C5, but for the extra money that would cost and the fact that nobody would ever give me much for mine anyways i should probably keep it and just buy something else to go cruisin in that both kids will fit with me. Maybe I'll sell my C3

I think that it would look great, the car looks sweet the way it sits, but I think the stripe would make it look mean. I'm a bit bias of stripes on Vette's though :cool:

On that color vette, I think it would look pretty sweet. I thought about hash marks on my vette, but I think it looks "clean" as is and don't want to overdo it.

i mean just because you stamp deceased on your drivers license doesnt mean your trying to pass yourself off as dead.
gs "type" of striping on that car would look nice imo.
i loved the striping on my 71 mach 1"s and 70 gtx.i put gtx stripes on my silver 70 roadrunner when i painted it way back when.
never thought a thing about it as far as "copying" or "faking" another model.
i even put a white gtx type stripe down the hood of a 70 chev 4x4 i had painted (70 corvette green was the color i picked),it looked sharp.
sometimes the mass of color bores you after awhile and breaking it up helps highlight it.
your car is to clean tho,i wouldnt do it.
if i wanted to break it up,maybe a black bra and some glass tint?
btw-is your car leaking something?or just marking its territory :D
