I blew the rear end in my vette on July 4th.....I am still vetless! I cant even begin to tell you how much I miss my car! Anyone else in a similar situation?
It's a spooky co-incidence Eric that you we're vetless last July as well.(that was for the paint) I didn't get to see the car 'til August. I fully understand and can relate to the way you feel.
i hydro-locked my 86 about a month ago :mad but the motor is out, and at the shop. should be done in the next few days. after that, i'll have to put it all back together....but then she'll be back on the road
i'm still not totally vetless tho. i've been driving the 81 while the 86 is down
I've been semi vetteless for 6 months. Rear wheel bearing is trashed. I have the new one. I can't get the 36 mm spindle nut off to pull the hub assembly. It is a pain. Have not had time to get it to a shop to break it loose. So no vette for me. :cry

Hang in there.
It is a spooky co-incidence.....It was my mechanics fault last year....took him 3 months to put my engine in(told me a week)! The car should have been painted way before July! :mad I cant tell you haw disgusted I am with my mechanic! :cuss I just called Jannetty Racing & they said they can rebuild my dif....a little pricy but at this point I dont care! I am going to my mechanics tonight & getting my parts & giving him an earfull! :cuss I am sooo mad! :mad
I'm temorarily NOT Vetteless, as I got to come home from Kuwait for a week and a half. It had been down since last October, and my wife got it in the shop and fixed back in June. However, all good things must come to an end, as I go back to the sandbox next Tues. :banghead:
Mines in the shop getting minor paint($1600 worth) work done from someone trying to pry off my front emblem with a screw driver.
Been gone a week, but I get it back on monday
I find it makes your vette seem that much better when its gone for a little while.

Your post puts things in perspective.....things could definetly be worse! Stay safe in Kuwait. :flag
:seeya I'm unfortunately vetteless period at the moment. Had to sell the 86 back in may and probably won't get another until next spring. Really sucks but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Never fails. When I Don't have my Corvette, I have to drive my gf's pos Saturn or worse my Mothers Toyota! I allways see some sweet C 4 when I don't have mine!! Maybe other C4 owners see mine and it makes them feel better I don't know.
Been vetteless for 1 year. But it should feel like a rocket ship when its done. Not to mention I haven't driven anything over 200hp in a year. I will quote one of my favorite condoments "The best comes to those who wait."
About an hour after I made this thread my mechanic pulled in.....MY CAR IS FIXED!!!         I already put it through 3 heat cycles! I cant tell you how good it feels to have the car back....Go without a vette for a while & you really appreciate what you got! :yesnod: Good luck to everyone else who is vetless now....I feel your pain!
