Who has a Race Ready C4???
I want to get some info from people who have took a C4 and made it a race car for road racing or other forms of racing, I have done some searchs but must be using the wrong words because not finding much. I want to do this in the next couple of years but I don't want to destroy my 89 just for some fun...

Re: Who has a Race Ready C4??? (CanadaVette)
:withstupid: My vette is 100% stock and Im racing her and Im doing fine against competition. The only thing I am really wanting to do to improve my raceability is get good tires, like BFG KDWs or Kumho MXs. Your vette is race ready as it is. The only thing you may need to do is get good tires. :chevy

Sorry for recycling the same photos
EDIT- There's someone on the forum with a race prepared ZR1 and an "open road" top speed vette

Don't know if I qualify but I'm told by Carmen at the Vette Doctors (guys who built my engine) that I should consistently do 12's in the quarter if I launch her properly.

I like to think my car is race ready. I've done 3 road race events in the last 4 months and am going to Sebrnig again in October.

Go to tccracing.com. Look for getting started or a phrase like that. It will give you a general idea of how to get started.

The required equipment depends on the class/type of racing event you intend to participate in. So, that's where you need to start your quest in order to know what is required to pass tech inspection.
