Default Zaino questions....

I was thinking about buying a Zaino starter kit last night from a guy in our local club that sells the stuff, and then I happened to think. Duh...white car, why am I wasting my time and money with this stuff. I've seen how dark colored Vettes look with Zaino, and it works great, but c'mon, white is white, and it has like 0 depth. $2.99 a gallon Turtle Wax should get it just as shiny.
So how bout it? Can Zaino do anything for white paint, or am I better off saving my money, and just keep using the cheap stuff?

Zaino is the best. Check the car care products section on this forum for tons of Zaino posts. My '91 is white and I can tell a difference if I park next to another white Vette waxed with any carnuba based wax. Carnuba has a slight yellow tint to it and you can tell a difference.

I have a 95 Artic White. I use Zaino exclusively. I've tried others, but the Zaino makes it look like looking into the middle of a pond. The reflection is unreal. Also Zaino is very easy to use, not alot of elbow grease. My white is so white it looks like a bowl of milk. I PREFER ZAINO - NO EXCEPTIONS! :flag :steering:

Zaino will give you longevity that any wax can't match. Personally, I prefer Pinnacle because of the shine. (used to be a Zaino user) but for White, I think I would stick to Z.

Ive spent lots of times and hours with the whole Zaino system on my BLACK 93 convertible. I followed all their advice, etc. I do not think it is any different than putting on 4 coats of any other wax.

Heres what I hoped Zaino would do. My convertible decklid is blacker (paint is less oxidized) under the bottom of the convertible top. The reason why its blacker is because the bottom of the convertible top covers it up and protects it from sun.

Well, I had hoped Zaino would restore some of the blackness (Take out the greyness) on the rear panel behind the decklid, so it to would match the same level of blackness as the area normally concealed by the convertible top. It failed and its not like my car is sunbeat. It was a cared for, garaged, driven to work in Michigan, summers only convertible car by its previous owner.

I should also mention, the time it takes to apply this stuff, as many coats as they recommend wreaked havoc on my relationship with my girlfriend (that tells you how involved this process is). For awhile, she was saying I cared more about spending time with the car than her, etc. :mad That will give you an idea of how much time it takes to apply. Although maintaining it is easy, you just put another coat on.

I cannot vouch for its longetivity, as I have no way to test to see how long it lasts. If it does last for years longer (it claims its a polymer, not a wax), then the system would be well worth it....If you could wax your car and not worry about it for 5 years.

Default Zaino questions....

As a loyal Zaino user(nothing else has touched my car since 2000) I'd have to agree with the rest.

Try the clay bar method(use lots of lube) and then use some ZFX/Z5(followed by a spritz of the Z6 detail spray) you'll be shocked how nice the finish looks and how slick it feels.
