Default Hands OFF my Vette!

Does any one else have the problem that when others look at your vette they get fingerprints everywhere. What is the best solution for this, what is the fastest way to fix this without washing all over again. What type of cloth can I use ,so i don't hurt the paint job? Everyone is excited about me getting my vette ,but let it breath. :boxing

I dont know.... The way I look at it is, the car will get driven and it will get dirty. Just enjoy driving/showing the car and wash it on the weekends. But I guess it all just depends on why you bought it. I bought mine to drive, you may have bought yours to look at.

Terry cloth. Also, Meguire's makes a detail spray that you can use to touch up the shine without having to wash the entire car. Enjoy!

go to schucks or autozone, even fredmeyer or wal-mart.pick up a few microfibre cloths-use em on everything, glass, dash,paint...they leave no fuzzys and collect the dirt instead of draggin it all over like cotton does.
try polishing a cd dry with one once if your concerned about scratching something.
neat things.
grab any of the "instant detailers" in a squrit bottle and carry it in the jockey box.
i like the mothers brand, the mequires seemed fine too.
i guess the turtle wax is about the only one i wouldnt try.
if you have any dust problems and a dark color the california duster is a godsend.
i know what you mean about people, everyone wants to get in and play with the seat controls etc-arg.
i got in the habit of gettin out quick and snapped the locks down and then standing back from the car while showing it off, sorta helps sometimes.
watch out for the litlle shavers-man they really like vettes too, they will charge unexpectedly

Meguire's detail spray works great! Got some about a month ago, it's saved me a few washes. Mother's California Gold Showtime works great also.

my vette is always covered with greazy fingerprints when I get back to it in the parking lot.

I don't know whether to be flattered or frustrated. I usually have a perfect wax coat on it though, so it wipes off easily.

I use old t-shirts, they have a dense woven fiber, and won't capture particles and scratch the paint as easily as towels do.

My 16 year old daughter can't get near my vette with out touching it!

I use Meguires Detailing Mist and soft cotton cloth to buff my girls finger prints of the car, I love her more than the car, but there is a limit!

Cya! :seeya

Kozak drywash cloth works really well. Cost about 10 bucks. Can be found in most auto parts stores, or Mid-America. :seeya

Any of the spray and wipe detail sprays will work fine. The cloth needs to be the softest you can find or you cause swirl marks in the paint.
