I just broke the 100,000 mile mark about a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I noticed that when I come to stops the car starts running really rough. This morning on my way to work it was doing the same thing but worse, when I gas it it doesn't want to go. It goes if I keep it under 2000 rpm. My girlfiend drove it and put gas on it, and claims it was premium. I checked the gas cap and it was loose so I took it out and put it back in and made it click 3 times. And it still runs like crap. One note of interest. I took it for a smog check on friday (my girlfiend did). Could it be cause it needs a oil change? or spark plugs??? The "Service soon" light came on about 4 times on my way to work. I have a 1995 coupe. No mods. Also if I rev it on park or neutral there's no problem. But on drive it just won't let me.
It could be alot of things. First thing I would do is get it scanned & see why the check engine light went on. It could be the mass air fow sensor...I have seen them make a car run real poopiety & set off the check engine light! Then again that car has lots of sensors! Good Luck!
Can I see the codes on the spedo, or do I have to take it somewhere?
Sounds to me like you should bring it somewhere to get it checked out. :smash: I hate computer controlled bs! That is partially why I went to carb....I will never see a check engine soon light on in my car ever! :jester :p: Good luck! :blueangel:
