Cut airbox
Anyone have a picture of the cut lid, just want to see what it looks like before I take the plunge.

For a 1996 Corvette anyways, it is like this.
Not sure if the airbox is the same for an 1986?

I did mine on the 85. I'm not sure you would have to cut that much. Seems like if you just cut most of the middle and leave about 2 inches on the sides you would have a stronger unit and the airflow wouldnt be that much different. JMHO

This is the question.....is it worth it? Is there any "seat of the pants" gain by doing this? Has anyone thought of putting a screen in there....purely for aesthetic purposes? Doesn't seem to look to "pretty" opened up like that IMO.
