Removing Dashboard Bezel

Removing Dashboard Bezel
OK, I give up. What needs to be done to remove the bezel from the instrumentation cluster? I removed the 4 screws but can't get it un-wedged from around the steering column and dashboard. I'm attempting to do what I thought was a pretty simple task of cleaning the inside of the bezel glass. Mine is all smog looking.

I replaced the clear dash bezel three years ago and I still have the scars on my knuckles where I tried to wedge the black bezel above the steering wheel. After reading the service manual I could have save myself alot of anguish and pain by simply removing the bolts that hold the steering column and lowering it about 1 inch. Thats all it takes and its a piece a cake. Let me know how it goes, or I can go to the Service Manual and give you the XYZ.
