PAINTING BELT LINE MOLDING!!!???
I was just curious, has anyone ever thought of having the black side trim on the early C4s the color of the body??? Not spray painting, but actually removing it, (however that is done???) and taking it and having it painted and clearcoated for shine. It looks good on the late C4s. True it is a different style of molding, but same general idea.

I don't think I would like that look at all. Try paintshop pro and give us a peak at what you expect it to look like.

The 35 th anniv, cars had white moulding. I have seen some of them that have been repainted white. their is a blue early C4 on here with the trim painted to match, and probably a few others.

Though it is not apparent in pictures, mine has been removed, sanded, painted and clear coated. Since the car is black few people ever notice, even the folks in C-4's...

cheap vet, YOUR car looks spectacular! Do you have a website or a write-up detailing the restoration process? So nice to see a sad C4 brought back from near death!

This is for real, the only Photoshop'n done was to the license plate. I had the molding painted when the car was painted.
I think I'll use that side profile shot as my new sig pic :D
Pics are HUGE like 240 KB each so I linked them...

Yeah, sweet car dudes.
Ive decided it will look nice, due to finally finding pics of 18carfans red 85.
NOW, how do I get all that trim off???
How expensive will it be to have done?

NOW comes the hard part
most of the molding is fairly easy except the front bumper I had to take the bumper apart to get to the bolts on the molding (maybe somebody else has an easier way) I couldn't find one
The door trim is a little tricky but not to bad, the good news is you don't have to take off the door panels, there is a nut at the front and rear of the door and the center ones have clips, I pulled out on them far enough to get a long skinny screw driver to push the clips in on themselves, after the first one the rest were easy
you will have to pull the rear wheel wells to get to the ones behind the door
