Default New A/C lines

Greetings.
I am in need to purchase new (rubber) A/C lines that connect between the evaporator and the compressor on my 89 coupe. My local Chevrolet parts dealer informs me that this item is discontinued. My local parts stores (AutoZone, Advanced Auto and Car Quest) tell me that this is a dealer only item. Any suggestions??

I bought mine from Zip.
The only thing to know is that the new lines are made for the new AC coolant and you should change over.

The high pressure hose is out of production, but that's a solid aluminum line and runs from the condenser to the evaporator. Since the Evaporator doesn't have a direct line to the compressor, sounds like you want the combination aluminum/flexible rubber hose that runs from the accumulator to the compressor and then out to the condenser. It's available at your Chevy Dealer for about 80 bucks (tell them you need the compressor hose) or at the Last Detail http://www.tld-corvette.com for about $60. If you do in fact need the high pressure line, have an a/c shop make you one - shouldn't set you back more than $25.
