Default Interior Protection

Hi Folks,

Well did a search and didn't see anything on what to clean/protect the dash
door panels et al with. Most likely a general car question for sure but would
like to hopefully avoid dash cracks down the line by doin' what I can now.
What product(s) do you like? Perhaps there's something better out there
than Armorall

Don't use Armorall, it's a dust magnet.

I've used a California duster, but not recently, too busy driving the damn things.

I posted the same question to the Car Care section a couple months back.

Many recommended the Lexol products, http://www.lexol.com/newauto.html as having superior UV protection

I have yet to buy it, still trying to use up my old product first.

Try this question in the Car Care Section for an increase in responses. :yesnod: That said, you may want to give 303 Aerospace Protectant a try. It is well respected and has a large following for good reason. It offers UV40 protection, provides a factory-fresh/low gloss look and is not a dust magnet. I've been using this product for nearly 3 years now, and can't imagine using something else on the dash, door panels, door pulls, seat backs, leather seating surfaces, steering wheel, etc.

If you can't find it locally at a marine/outdoor supply store, try here: http://www.properautocare.com Great stuff.

I use Lexol on the seats, and nothing but warm water and 409 on the plastic.

I use AP 303 on all the interior trim and dash. Love it.
