I used Eagle 1 Wheel Cleaner to clean my rims about month or so ago.....it sat for 2 mins, then, It got hosed off. It took what remained of my clear coat with it. Leaving behind streaked nasty wheels. Like when I sprayed it on, it started to run off, and where it ran, it streaked the alloy. Ive since used the buffer and polishing creme to try and make it less severe. It helped, and made it shiny, looked really good, but when I went to clean the tires (remove excess creme) The Westleys Bleech White got on the wheels on speckled em back to where they were...3 hours wasted, as well as 5 bonnets) and countless ant bites.
I have given up on chemicles and now use elbow gease only... :yesnod:
I repolished the wheels and they looked nice until it rained..then, after about a week...dull and dingy.... :mad How can I fix this?
DONT USE EAGLE 1 WHEEL CLEANER it WILL SCREW YOU!
Unfortuantly refinishing and replacement is not on the budget...
Oh yeah, what can I do about that horrid black paint in the middle of the wheel, and inside the little "Choppers" on the edge?
They look so pukey now. Im going to repolish them in a few days. You know how the flat portion of the wheels had that rib texture to it...well mine dont have that anymore...hehe. The look better though. Once I polish them, is there anyway to seal them permanetly?
:iagree: But if you don't have the $ for powder coating, a good automotive clear may last a couple years. Look into clear paint from someone like Dupli-color. Check them out at http://www.duplicolor.com
