"BEWARE" Out of country buyers update....
I have my LT-4 convt. for sale at $27,500. I get a E-Mail stating that these people have a buyer for my car. They are wanting to send me more money than is advertised and after the cashier check clears wire them back the xtra.
Ya sounds funny so I called Autotrader and spoke with cus.service. The lady stated there is a scam out of South Africa and these people are using cashiers checks from a stolen account.So everyone beware of any BS and I will make sure if I proceed I will open a separate account and have them wire the money direct! NO cashier check or any other payment.
I did E-Mail this guy back to let him know we are aware of some the hanky panky that has been going on,we,ll see if he still wants to do business!

yeah, I heard of that scam a few months back.
They steal Cashiers checks for lets say 30,000 dollars.
Not wanting to cash it themselves, the find something similar in price.
a 24K corvette. They send you the check.
You cash it, they get a vette, and 6K back in cold cash!
..........try it alot on Ebay!
