x-pipe sounded so good we did not install Magnaflows. The prefabed x fit neatly and cleanly in the exhaust tunnel.
As you can see from my sig, I have headers and muff elims, the x has put the sound over the top. I feared it would be too lound. At idle sound is a little lounder, but deep, rich and a nice burble. At crusie speed it's a low rumble. And roars when the hammer is down!
Best is the reasonance is virtually non-existant at all speeds! I did this mod because after installing 3.73 gears the reasonce at 70 to 80 mph was unbearable.

I have read many times before that an x-pipe reduces/gets rids of resonance. My second car is a 97 Lincoln LSC (Cobra motor) and those guys put 2 x-pipes in those.

This made my day! I had an x-pipe installed last month but the sound still wasn't what I was hoping for. But just within the hour my friendly UPS man dropped off my muffler eliminator pipes!!! After reading this about how they sound, I'm no longer worried about my car being to loud with both the x-pipe and the muffler elim-pipes installed. Thanks Beast, you gave me a reason to look forward to Monday now
x-pipe is a prefab, think it's made by Magnaflow. the x-pipe and install cost $165. A local shop did the install, one man shop which does custom exhaust sys. I visited it 4 times to work thru the details. each time I was there he was working on a rod or muscle car. Local gear heads say he is the best.
Dreamer, he'll do stainless Magnaflow $250 installed. I'll give you contact info if you're interested. They'll sound good, and look good with your chrome sawblades.
