Over the past 35 years I've owned a C1, C2, and C3. Now Corvette fever has struck again and I am going to pick up a 95 red roadster with 28K and drive it back to Arizona.
My concern relates to security. My wife and I will probably have to stop during the night to sleep, most likely at a motel. My fear is waking to find the car long gone.
How well does the security system work? Any ideas about securing the car while on the trip?
Well, welcome to the forum :seeya We can spend your money faster than Enron can lose it. As far as security of your Vette on the trip home, Stay at a place where you can park right outside your room. Tie a string to the front of your vette and tie the other end to your Johnson. That way you'll know exactly when the crooks are trying to take it. Now when this happens, your adrenaline will be at it's peek and you'll be able to kick butt. What do you think? :skep:
:lolg:    :cuss :lolg:
For Big Brother of the forum: I know minus 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct. I just couldn't help myself
I have a 95 artic white roadster myself.
Do what I do when we stay at a motel. Set the alarm clock for every hour and step outside and see if its still there. Better yet, sleep in the car.
I have had good luck with the security system once I figured out how it works.
Good Luck and remember to wave.. :seeya
I work for an insurance company handling/investigating car thefts. Beleive me, security systems are just about useless. I would reccomend some type of steering wheel lock. These are very visible to thieves and usually deter them. The lock bars can be hack sawed, but most theives won't go through the trouble. Just my $.02.
