Was out in the vette at dusk this evening. Noticed as I parked it in the garage that the dash lights(speedometer/tachometer area) were fluctuating in illumination. I would not call it a flicker but it not a consistent "brightness". Increasing or decreasing rpm's did not make any difference to this fluctuation.
Ever hear or read of this?
I had the same problem on my 93 about a year ago, check out your battery terminal connections. The positive side on my battery was ready to fall off because of corrosion. I put a new DieHard in and everything is fine.Good Luck!
If you have an aftermarket stereo/amp that draws more power than the original than I think this could cause the fluctuating....it does on my 89....but only when idling.

mine does that real bad when im sitting at lights because of my 2 amps and high power subs. so i just give it a little power break and it stops
theres a sensor for the brightness of the display.you may see fluctuations when entering different lighting like pulling into the garage or shaded areas.
oh btw mine does it alot and im stock.bose and all.
new batt, new belt, 35k on the car.
i just ignore it.
I've seen counless threads on this. Mine does it too. I think it's probably a universal problem. Just one of the so many little glitches that are unique to Corvette. :cuss
