Hey, i am building the hell outta my 88 coupe..Total custom car..Here is my question...In the process of repainting/dying the interior pieces, i had to remove the option sticker from my center console door..Now, even though i plan on a custom car , i still wanted to put the original option sticker back on..But here is the dilema...The last owners seriously HOT girlfriend wrote "Katerine loves David" in a marker on that sticker...If she wasnt so freaking hot id call her every name under the sun..So my question is, can you get a replacement sticker like you can with a build sheet??? Ive never heard of anyone doing this before, so im asking if anyone knows...Like i said, the original came right off with no damage, but i refuse to reuse it...Thanks!!! [IMG][/IMG]
These stickers are not available with the VIN, RPO codes and paint codes printed on them. They were printed once the car started down the assembly line so were specific to a car. While the NCM has the hardcopy build sheets, they did not get the build sheet data in electronic format.
There is something that looks like a part number in fine print at the bottom of the tag, but I think that somebody here tried to get a blank one but couldn't order them from the dealer.
I know its not exactly what you want, but here's an idea. Scan the tag into a computer and clean up the image. (remove the marker and wear and tear) Take that image to a copy/print shop and have them use either a laser printer or dye sublimation printer to put it on self adhesive paper stock? It might not be the exact finish, but would be easier than probably trying to find a blank label and then a matrix printer to put the codes back on.
