My wife and I spent most of the day in the vette. We left at 8:30 am, and didn't get home till 2. It was our day away from everything and everybody. We've had a pretty crazy last few months. Anyway, back to the trip. We toured the Pocono Mountains and almost everywhere between here and there. The saddest part of our journey was seeing only TWO vettes the entire trip! We saw a white C1 somewhere in Jersey, and a black ZO6 in the K-mart parking lot in Matamoras, PA. Oh well, it was still a nice day away! :D
It's been a great weekend here, we also put some miles on, and we saw several Corvettes the last couple of days. That's pretty unusual here; it's nice to see 'em out on the road for a change.
And we got several waves also! :seeya
Was out friday night in the Grand National at the drag strip. Took out the Corvette with the top down all day sat. Perfect weather all weekend saw many Corvettes but they are plentiful around here. Too bad the weekend is over!
We went cruising in a popular park drive where my wife and I used to hang out in our twenties on Sunday. I decided to count the other 'Vettes. We saw 1-C5, 1-C3, 1-C2, 0-C1, and 6-C4s. I was amazed. I guess it's us C4 drivers who like to cruise on beautiful, sunny days.
I took the Vette to Englishtown for the vette challenge this weekend. Thats a 250 mile round trip. . . and thankfully there wasn't much traffic this time. Weather was nice as well.
315 miles. We too enjoyed a terrific day here in central Texas. We left Pflugerville in the Grand Sport, sans top, and headed west to Mason where we had BBQ from Coopers, one of the top 5 rated BBQ joints in Texas (acording to Texas Monthy Magazine).
Then South on back roads through Fredericksburg to Luckenbach. There you can sit under a giant oak tree out behind the general store, have a Shiner Bock, and listen to some great acoustic music by whoever shows up. No other Vettes showed up but there were plenty of Harley's and leather. The only bad thing after a few in Luckenback is that it is a long way back to Pflugerville.

I wish I could have joined you on that one. I was stuck at work all week-end in Round Rock. I took my '94 out for a drive both Sat and Sun night, but still a nice day trip would have been better.
