Paint question
It's the clear.
I watched my car get painted. The base was an eerie dark blue. I even asked the painter"Why the hell does my paint look so dark? Is that really admiral blue?" :D He told me, just wait 'til the clear goes on and you'll be smiling instead of panicking. He was right.
Wet sanding and buffing the area with a 2000 grit paper will smooth it out. SMC(Sheet Molded Compound) has a waviness to it(what our panels are made from) that's tough to get it as flat as say, sheet metal panels.
