I know what you mean Nathan. At least I -think- I know what you mean.... Corvettes are in short supply up here in the Northeast so it's unusual to drive by the neighborhood GM dealer and see a yellow '03 convertable and a red '02 coupe. I think I'm OK as long as I don't drive one...
Yeah, I love that "option" on my C4. I can take any open pump I want and not have to worry all the time about which side  Even better, there was this one time at the 76 and I was getting the 100 octane race gas. It was really crowded and every spot was taken and there were SUVs towing boats all over, etc. So the gas I want is in the center pump and there are two normal pump stations on either side (and they're occupied). So instead of having to wait for one of the cars at either normal pump to move (because there wasn't much room inbetween them), I just reverse up to the middle pump. Only a Vette can get away with that one :lolg: , but the guy watching the security camera must of thought I was nuts
P.S. I hope you can understand the story I tried to describe :smash:
Ya know, that is one thing that I really don't like about the C5 vettes. I love the location of my gas cap. I just pull right up, either side. Plus, it gives the Vette a more unique style. The side location definately loses cool points as far as looks go.
I actually prefer to pull up on the left side of the pump, that way the hose isn't between me and the car. If I was left-handed it would be different of course.
before we bought our c4 and i was still "shopping",i pointed at one at a station and said "look honey, aint that cool-you put gas in the trunk!"
i used to like the flip up cap on the left fender of 68-70 chargers but the center option on the c4 is a step better.
refill attendant, what's that? I can't think of a single gas station in the state of KY that will pump gas for you. There are a few states where you are not even allowed to pump it yourself though.

Yeah, remember the days of a full service gas station? On summer break from college, I worked at a full srevice station in Myrtle Beach. We did it all, fuel, oil, wipers, tire plugs and patches and a lift for repairs. Now it's a filling station with a mini mart where the bays were. Damn, I'm getting old!

Nate, you gotta start gett'n out more often. Try the Swifty on Lousville Rd. they will pump it for you, Then come see me at the carwash just a couple hundred yards down the hill. I have met most of the BG forum crowd but dont think i have ever had the pleasure of meeting you. Come by and introduce yourself.
:seeya
Alright, let me rephrase that. I can't think of a DECENT gas station that pumps gas for you. Not that I'm picky by any means but swifty is a big no no.
I'll have to get with Brian and run out there and meet you. Then you can meet two more forum members.
That center gas cap is a great feature. Why did they change it?
I heard that in New Jersey, they have to pump your gas for you. I guess they have a gas pumping union or something. Is this total :bs ? Or are they telling me the truth?
