I am wondering how many vet owners put mud flaps on there cars. It seems to me they would save many a long hours when its time to wash the car. At least it must help with the road tar problem. Any pics or suggestions welcome.
ps
I think i finally figured out how to post a pic of my car, so here goes nothing.

I keep going back and forth on this subject. I don't think they would look bad on the front. Just can't picture them on the rear though. I guess I'm still on the fence.
I have them on my vette, they blend in pretty good so you probably won't see them unless you look. I have the molded plastic ones. I took them off for a while because I was worried about them rubbing the paint. I quickly put them back on when I realized how much crap they keep off my car. I would definitely recommend them. :yesnod:
Hey Stinger...where ya been....how's the job....what do you think about my new wheels?
I was never a big fan of mud flaps, but back in '97 I was reassinged overseas (Portugal) and they required mud flaps on every vehicle. I took an '89 RS Camaro and reluctantly installed the mud flaps. Once they were on, you could hardly notice unless you were looking specifically for them. They seemed to blend in with the tire or wheel well depending on the angle of view.
I don't currently have them on the vette, but have considered installing them to cut down on the road gunk that collects on the lower door/fender area.
ok i was the big mudflap defender on the last thread about em but i gotta do a 180 on the issue.
i was missing 1 front flap and still am.
after 4000 miles i gotta admit.i dont see any more junk on one side than the other.
thats on the front tho.
my rears have always been on there so i dont know.
i am getting tired of applying the tire foam to the flaps so they dont look like crap tho.
think im gonna go flapless next year.
unless i go with 285 tires..
i got them on my car now
with so much construction, the roads are covered with rocks and sand.
i figured, i can stay away from other cars...
but how am i going to stay away from myself?
I have them on....looks just like Steel Blue 91's. I can assure you that they have saved the side of my car from many potential rock chips. They aren't big or obtrusive, and since they are black, they sort of blend in with the tires.
For the last time, Not MUDFLAPS, Splash Guards... :D
I just finished putting them on the rear tires for my car. I ran with only one on for about 2 months while I was trying to decide. Not one person noticed the SPLASH GUARD. That rear quarter panels now looks so much better, especially after a day at the track. Those 315/35s throw up a lot of junk...
