Re: E-bay - another good one! (LT-4 CE)
Sorry.
As nice as the car is (with the exception of the wheels), I just can't get past the irritating verbage. This guys must think everyone out here is a fool.
A '96 CE auto that comes with more hp? how so?
This guy is so full of himself.
I can't figure how someone with a gradeschool education can afford all that outlay..... there's something about this that smells funny.
(we need a smiley-face sniffing a fish and frowning....)
I somehow noticed that also. It's above 14 just about the whole time. I'm no expert on WOT performance parameters but I have read enough on this forum to know that is NOT where it should be. Maybe that's why he sprang for the radiator and is selling the car (overheating issues) Probably not, but the whole ring story is too precise to be believable. Besides a princess cut has so many cuts it's easy to use a cheaper flawed diamond, tell him to price out an emerald cut. But I digress. I have to think he's generating an awful lot of heat running that lean.
Nonetheless, ALOT of money went in that car. Most of which added little real value.
First, the CE looks really nice, but was way over-represented. The seller just went through so much trying to make to sound like the best car ever to justify a high starting price on e-bay. But once you actually get it and look it over, it's not really that different. Even though it is worth 18k, e-bay's not the place to get it.
As for that 85, what a shame :cry They could of at least painted the wing, ground effect, and hood to match before trying to seriously sell it :smash:
EDIT--OMG! That CE has the worst torque "curve" I've ever seen   And then there's the HP "hiccup"
"There was only a couple thousand of these Silver edition Corvettes built. The extra’s included a Collectors Badging, 5 spoke wheels embroidered seats and a little more HP."
first, there were 5.412 CE's made, considerably MORE than a "couple thousand".
second, "a little more HP" ??? what's this guy mean? it started as an LT1, not an LT4. granted it's doctored up by DRM, but it still seems misleading to me. :skep:
