Auto trans shift selector
How do you get the auto trans shift button and **** off the shift arm? My shop manual doesn't say and the screws that hold the plastic PRND21 window in place on the console of my 96 vette comes loose and drops down into the console. I've had the console loosened but can't get it off around the shift **** so I can't get enough clearance to get it properly fixed. I've seen this problem on other vettes. Anyone know how to fix this and what kind of screws it needs? Thanks. :confused:

I have heard that it just pops off with a screwdriver and there is a snap ring under the button....
