I was reading the archives yesterday looking for tips on backup light problems... I got sidetracked and saw someone talking about CAGS disabling... the question was asked if this guys b/u lights work because removing the fuse would disale the CAGS - the 1 to 4 shift light would still illuminate though (which mine does) and the b/u lights won't work... I went looking at fuses last night in my 93 couple but did not see a fuse for CAGS... any suggestions or am I chasing a false dream here?
Just looked at my 93 service manual. There is no CAGS connection (physically and literally) with the back up lights, which has its own fused circuit. It's either in the switch or circuit itself. :smash:

Re: Back up lights (Voodoo93)
VooDoo,
That was my post.
Yes, it was for a '96...... if you pull the fuse for the backup lights (#28), it will disable the CAGS as well.
My advice; get the CAGS eliminator from Eckler's/MAD. It's a much nicer arrangement long-term.
Thanks Larry - That fuse is in and good... think my problem must be with the reverse lights switch or somewhere in the circuit... was sure hoping it would be an easy (fuse removed) fix. I want to thank all for the responses on this topic... great community for information exchange we have here!
