Default Engine Rebuild

Just for future reference, how much will it cost to get my engine rebuit, no upgraded boring or anything, and where would be the best place. I live in Houston, TX. Thanks alot... :cool:

Why do you want to rebuild? Whats wrong with it?

You say no boring, but if it's a high mileage engine, chances are just honing the cylinders isn't going to do it for you, I'd take it at least .020 over.

Are you planning on pulling it yourself, disassembling it yourself, then taking the block and heads to a machine shop and letting them do their thing, buying the basic rebuild kit and putting it back together yourself? Or are planning on having somebody do the whole deal for you soup to nuts?

Check out my site. I have some engine combo pages, as well as my engine rebuild page. I have cost breakdowns regarding machine work.

But I live in the Akron area, so your costs may differ...
