on my way home from school today my headlight started to freak out i had my high beams on and the symbol on the dash when off then about 5 secs later it came back on, and it kept doing this till i turnd the car off. so i got to a gas station and looked at the lights and they where like pulsing the headlights whould flicker and the fogs/parking lights would dim when the headlights pulse. so i reached in and turn the headlights off and the right side light did not fully close then about 20 secs later it fully closed so i turned the lights back on and the same thing happend with the light flipping up and still had the pulsing. so i checked all the connections and every thing appeared to be ok. so i just said o well and turned the lights off and whent home. around 3ish i tryed to try the lights agin and guess what no problems  so im like ok maby it was some thing weird going on and i left to go to my college class and on the way home from that my headlights started to bug out agin with the same problem  made it home checked it out agin and still no probs that i can see
any ideas what it could be
every day seems like something else on the vette is going bad its driving me
A bad ground comes to mind too. Remove both your battery connections and clean them (I suggest removing the battery, put some baking soda on the terminals then rinse it off, dry and wire brush). Make sure if you have those boots that fit over the terminal to look inside the boot to make sure no corrosion is occurring.
Ensure you have the proper torque and torque those terminals.
Then try the headlamp again and see if that clears it up.

Re: headlight prob (Cory00)
Well you might have a combination of problems man. LoL I know it sounds bad, but first thing is check your battery cables and make sure they're tight and that the negative and positive DON'T move at all when you touch it barely meaning they're on tight. Secondly open the hood and check your headlights...you're gonna have to get out the torx and take off the headlight covers to remove the lamps if you wanna check this. When you do(It's pretty simple anyway, takes like 5-10 minutes tops) make sure that the plugs connecting the lamps to the outlets are in tight and secure and don't wiggle at all. When you finish puttin those back in, check the fog lamps. If all looks well, make sure that the lights flip up and full power is goin, if you still have that prob with one of em not closing correctly you may need to replace the bushings...chances are if one headlight's goin then the others gonna go too so replace em both.(Bushings are about as cheap as you can get). Most likely your prob is with the battery cables which btw may need to be replaced as a whole if they're tight and you're still getting the power fade problems. Battery cable's can corrode and eventually fall to s*** over time. It may sound tedious, but make sure you replace it if this is the prob asap cuz the next bad thing is your alternator if those go and the alternator is anything but cheap. That's a domino effect you DON'T want. :steering:
