Default Brake tools

I am going to be replacing the rotors, pads, and flex hoses on my 1984 Corvette this winter. I have heard many people say it is worth the money to buy brake line wrenches. Are the hoses on a 1984 Metric or English?

They are metric, and yes I agree, good tools to have. You'll only need about 3 or 4 different sizes, can't remember them right now though, sorry.

Someone should chim in with that soon............

EDIT: 3 or 4 diff sizes takes care of fuel lines, etc etc.... Not just brake lines.

A good set of line wrenches will be a big help. One of the biggest PITA things to deal with is a rounded off hose fitting. Then you have to resort to Vise-Grips or a hacksaw.

You also might consider adding some Speed Bleeders when to rebuild/replace the calipers. They make brake fluid bleeding a one-person job. They are relatively inexpensive and well worth the money. http://www.speedbleeder.com
