Default leg room question

I had a chance to see the foot well on a 90 vette, passenger side. To me it looked as though the passenger only had an area about 14" wide on which to place their feet. The tunnel encroaches that far into the footwell. Since I would like to ride? drive with my wife I want the passenger side to be comfortable. Does anyone have any experience with passengers complaining about room for their feet? Was there any change in interior dimensions at any time in the C4 production run?
I didn't actually sit in the car. Is the foot well long enough that average sized people may not even touch the end of the foot well if the seat is all the way back? (This would be on a coupe)
Your comments wouldbe greatly appreciated.

I don't know about exact dimensions, but I can tell you I'm 6'3" and have no problems at all - either as driver or when I sat in the passenger's side. If you are average sized, you'll be more than fine

I think they're all that way because the motor is offset towards the passenger side. When I ride on that side of the car, I usually end up bending one leg, it's more comfortable to me that way.

How the heck is the motor offset towards the passenger side?? :skep: That just doesn't make sense.
