Does anyone know how to clear the air restraint warning light...I think it is INFLS or something like that....the owners manual says it concerns the air bag system and that I should take it in for service.....I already tried disconecting the battery with no help...really hate to get ripped by the dealers for something that dosent seem to be bad. :nonod: Thanks... :flag
"Seem to be bad"? The SRS is not something that just wears out and fails.....
It only takes hooking up a scan tool to it to tell what's wrong. No screwing there...
As for common problems I've seen, the only thing I can think of right off the bat, is that one of the crash sensors is right under and in front of the battery mounted to the frame. If there is a lot of corrosion in the area from the battery, it will fail from corrosion damage.
Take the side panel off, and look under the battery for corrosion, or rust damage first, then take it to a reputable dealer!
Thanks for the advice.....Ill check it out and if I must...make a visit to the dealer....Just dont have the time for this right now....may have to park it for awhile...!!!! :banghead:
Hey Dan,
Very common problem especially on the '90 Vintage Vette, had the same thing happen last year and learned a lot. Not only does the Inflation Reatraint lite stay on but you'll notice the little seat belt indicator on your instrument panel also glows constantly...all part of the same problem. Here's a link to a forum link that will help you like it helped me....good luck...90vettfan...Orest https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=46&TopicID=2
