Wet Okles do wear in the bolsters though...not as obvious as the "leather" but it starts as "balling" on the material, then looks a little rougher than the rest.
Probably take a heck of a long time to wear a hole though...
High quality vinyl (that looks like leather) is your best bet. I've never seen the quality of the vinyl covers from any of the suppliers (MAD, Ecklers)...but I'd go to a local shop that does custom rod interiors and I bet they would be able to help you out.
Do those covers slip on, or must the leather be removed first?
Wet Okles slip on...and don't get me wrong...think they look great and are an awesome value IMHO.
Most of the standard Vette seats can just have panels replaced...a good number of sport seats can't due to how the leather/foam is bonded.
I did see 1 job where the interior guy used a razor blade to separate the leather/foam and replace a panel...looked okay but that 1 panel didn't have the "bonded" look after he was done.
