What does everyone pay in insurance????????? Just curious
I hear all this about insurance being so high...
I pay less on my vette,, than my wifes minivan and my Full size Bronco..
I pay $188 a month for all 3, in one of the worse placed in the country to get insurance.
$110 per month. $50,000/$100,000 coverage, $250 Deductable, towing/rental, uninsured motorist coverage, 24,000 miles per year, through USAA. Not bad for South Florida! When I had my 92 Mustang GT it was $160 per month for half of the above coverage!!! I guess they figure if you own a Vette you won't hotdog it as much.
:D
Edit:
BTW, I am 32 and single. If anyone tells you that your insurance will go down at 25 and at 30, they are lying. It just doesn't go up as much when it is time to renew! :D My record right now is fairly clean. :D Can't wait until next year when I get married, then my insurance will actually go down! I'll be adding my fiance's ZX2 and our insurance together will be as much as it is by myself with just my car!!

I have been told vette insurance is less expensive than that of similar year V8 mustangs, camaros, and trans ams. Statisticly less idiots end up behind the wheels of vettes.
If your vette is not a daily driver, try Sneed Companies at http://www.sneedcompanies.com. I just got a policy with them and it was ALOT less than the regular company.

Re: Insurance RATES (1990CORVETTE)
$160 a month here. I'm 23, have a clean record, but I'm on my parents' policy. That's why its so low. We have complete coverage on all vehicles maximum insured. If I was on my own, Geico insurance quoted me $580....a MONTH!!!! LOL no joke and that wasn't even for full coverage. It seriously blows for anyone under 25 getting insurance on their own if they wanna insure a vette. :U
If your vette is not a daily driver like mine. Then you can get it real cheap. I pay about $230 a year and my coverage is alot better than my regular car. Best part of all, no mileage limit :) www.inainsurance.com in case you want to go check them out.
Are you guys serious? $200+/mo?? I don't have a Vette (yet) but I got a quote the other day for it. Full coverage on a '96 (25K/50K, $250 deduct) as my primary driver would be about $390 per 6 months. I'm 26 now, but my rates didn't change at all when I turned 25. Also, a single male with no other insurance from this company.
