I am not to happy with the Bose system in my 92 and would like to replace it. Can anyone give me a total list of things I would need to do this? I already have a Kenwood CD player I pulled out of my last car and an amp, but what else do I need? Also what size speakers? The more specific the better. Any help is appreciated.
thanks in advance,
brad

Re: Replacing Bose? (BooRadley)
If you have a coupe:
6.5 speakers rear, you can fit 4" in the front pods, but most people will replace them entirely with 5.25 or 6.5
You'll need to get a kit to fit the headunit, unless you want to mount a full DIN EQ to place in the slot.
If your speakers are good - just buy an adaptor($50) and install new/used head unit - I took this advice for my 87 from local radio shop - sounds great - I'm not going to win any crank-it up contest but the sound quality and volume are much better than original and I didn't have to cut up anything.
Well, I dont mind my Cd player it is the speakers that I dont like. I have been talking to a local guy that said he could do the swap. I will let you know how it turns out........if I can afford it.
thanks

I changed mine, or rather had it changed-read Bob Golden tech tips at batee.com you will lose the dimming function on you ac display.Doesn't really bother me. My system would have had to be rebuilt a second time in 3 yrs.
